René Woderich is a Consultant Urological Surgeon whose NHS practice is based at the Warrington and Halton Hospitals. He holds regular clinics at RHG’s Centre for Reproductive Health at Daresbury Park.
René Woderich graduated in 1993 from Rostock University, The Faculty of Medicine, in the North of Germany. He worked as a junior doctor for three years in Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg and researched the topic of his MD thesis at Humboldt University, Berlin. He came to England in 1997 and continued to train in a broad variety of surgical specialities in the North-West and East of England, before moving into Urology in 2003. He started Higher Surgical Training in Urology at The Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, moving to Liverpool (both Aintree and the Royal Liverpool Hospital), before completing most of his Urology training in the North-West Thames Rotation including University College London Hospitals, The Royal Marsden Hospital and Imperial College London Hospitals.
He was appointed as a Consultant General Urologist at Northern Devon Hospitals in 2010 and re-located to Warrington in 2013. He has a special interest in Andrology, male infertility and Endo-Urology (including kidney cancer and stone disease).
René has a teenage daughter and two grown-up children. He loves skiing, gastronomy and DIY.
