As you will have no doubt seen in the press and on social media this week, comedian Rhod Gilbert has been giving male fertility some much deserved publicity. His superb documentary which was first aired on BBC Wales and then on iPlayer has gained substantial attention amongst the fertility community and rightly so.
Rhod looks at the personal challenges faced by men, the lack of support and takes a comical look at male fertility in general, his own fertility journey and themental health impact surrounding it.
You can watch the documentary on BBC iPlayer here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000rscz
The reaction online has prompted quite an interest in our advanced male fertility assessments and we have received quite a number of questions via social media and email from men who may not have previously given their own fertility a second thought. From our perspective, the more confident men feel about addressing their own fertility concerns and the more open they can talk about it, the better.
This has prompted us to organise a live Zoom and Facebook collaboration between our very own Professor Nardo and one of the UK’s leading male fertility experts, Ian Stones, to talk all things male fertility, as well the fantastic response to Rhod’s documentary. Professor Nardo and Ian will be live on Zoom and Facebook this Saturday (30th Jan) from 5pm and we hope you can join them to better understand your own fertility, your options and the support available to you.
